Transactions & Portfolio Manager

As a Transactions & Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the property strategy across a diverse retail portfolio and corporate network. With sole focus on your client (major bank), you will handle transaction delivery for retail, ATM & corporate portfolios while identifying opportunities to leverage market conditions for improved outcomes. Your role will also involve financial management of the portfolio, including reporting and planning. You will foster positive relationships connected to the portfolio and work collaboratively with various teams to ensure seamless service delivery. As the primary point of contact with landlords and stakeholders, you will resolve disputes and issues effectively

What you'll do:.

  • Handle Transaction Delivery for the retail, ATM & corporate portfolio, as agreed through the strategy process
  • Identify proactive opportunities to leverage market conditions to improve outcomes
  • Support in the financial management of the portfolio, engaging in Financial Management, Reporting and Planning
  • Maintain, develop and extend positive relationships connected to the portfolio
  • Actively work with and align with various teams to ensure seamless delivery of services across the portfolio and business
  • Take responsibility for being the direct point of contact with Landlords and stakeholders.

Although this position does require a certain level of strategy planning and negotiation, you must be prepared to undergo and execute process based, transactional duties that inevitably form the critical foundations of the role.

Although some degree of flexibility is granted, this role requires frequent office attendance. At least 3 days per week in the CBD.


What you bring:

The ideal Transactions & Portfolio Manager brings a wealth of experience in property management or leasing transactions. They will possess a bachelor's degree in property or a related field. They will need the ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex business documents.

They must have an in-depth understanding of financial terms and principles to conduct financial business analysis, review contracts and prepare reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and establish strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Bachelor’s degree in property or related field
  • Experience in property management or leasing transaction
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex business documents
  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level in core Microsoft packages – particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to travel as required, driver’s license required
  • Sound understanding of New Zealand property law.
