Principal Assurance Advisor

The role of the Assurance Principal is to lead assigned audit engagements end-to-end from scoping and planning to communicating results and closing the engagement.

A large government organisation that has an opportunity for a strong Assurance Principal to step in and help the Assurance Director on proposed engagement objectives. The organisation has a strong assurance team with well-structured frameworks in place and are looking for an individual who is confident with Agile audits.

About the role:

The role of the Assurance Principal is to lead assigned audit engagements end-to-end from scoping and planning to communicating results and closing the engagement. Their responsibilities include advising the Assurance Director on proposed engagement objectives, developing a thorough understanding of the audit subject or activity, engaging with management, leading the audit team to deliver the engagement, communicating observations, and agreeing recommendations with management.

• Able to analyse complex problems using a range of analytical skills or investigative techniques and root-cause analysis.
• Manages external relationships to deliver mutually agreed outcomes.
