Our client, ICIB Brokerweb, is seeking a dynamic and committed Branch Manager to lead their Christchurch branch. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and have overall responsibility for the operational performance of the branch. The successful candidate will focus on developing their team, growing the business, and strengthening the reputation of ICIB Brokerweb within the insurance industry and the broader community. What you'll do:

As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership to your team while overseeing the operational performance of the Christchurch branch. You will work closely with the Director of Broking to develop Business and People Plans that align with ICIB Brokerweb's strategy. Your role will involve preparing annual budgets, managing operating costs, and reporting on results. You will also play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment where everyone feels motivated to perform at their best. Additionally, you will ensure that all operations adhere to ICIB Brokerweb's standards and procedures.

  • Provide leadership and oversee the operational performance of the Christchurch branch
  • Develop Business and People Plans in consultation with the Director of Broking
  • Prepare annual budgets and manage operating costs within approved budget levels
  • Engage, motivate, and inspire the team to perform at their full potential
  • Actively manage performance or behaviour concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensure that standards, operating procedures, and levels of service are met and adhered to
  • Develop a sales culture within the branch, encouraging all staff to participate in new business development

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Branch Manager position brings proven experience in people management or leadership roles. Experience within the Financial Services, Insurance or Banking industry would be advantageous. You should have a sound understanding of running a Profit & Loss, setting budgets, and making decisions that impact financial performance over short and mid-term periods. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel (intermediate to advance), and Outlook is essential. Strong stakeholder management skills are also required for this role.

  • Proven experience in people management or leadership roles
  • Experience working in a similar role within the Insurance Broking space.
  • Must have 10-15+ years in insurance broking.
  • Sound understanding of running a Profit & Loss, budget setting and decision-making impact on financial performance
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel (intermediate to advance), and Outlook
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Financial Services Level 5 qualification
