The Senior Risk Advisory Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to work with clients across New Zealand, providing advisory and consulting services based on a strong understanding of the commercial and risk environment. The successful candidate will guide clients on how to effectively mitigate risks and assist them in making informed decisions around their business processes, technology, and operations. This role requires regular visits to client sites for effective evaluation of their operations. • Work with diverse clients across Auckland & New Zealand • Provide advisory and consulting services in the commercial and risk environment • Guide clients on risk mitigation strategies

What you'll do:

As a Senior Risk Advisory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the complexities of risk management. You will be responsible for:

• Actively consider areas of risks with current and potential clients
• Guide clients on appropriate standards to follow, where to find the standards and how to implement them
• Enhance or update risk management policies and procedures
• Analyse and interpret complex risk regulations
• Research industry leading practices related to governance, risk, and compliance
• Define and shape the strategic direction of an organisation
• Meet with clients in various sectors throughout New Zealand to understand their requirements
• Follow project methodology, identify an appropriate approach and methodology up front for each engagement
• Understand and apply fundamental risk management principles
• Help clients identify their risks and exposure area

What you bring:

• Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance and assurance
• Experience working in an internal auditing, consulting, or other advisory role would be an advantage
• Problem solving and solutions focused
• Flexible and adaptable, manage and comfortable with change
• Passion to develop others and build on something special
• Proven ability to deliver success and manage projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Relevant Experience/Qualification

• 6+ years Risk Advisory, Consulting, Advisory work in a similar environment
• Professional Services/Public Accounting experience is preferred
• CA, IIA, or similarly qualified.
