This is an opportunity for a Senior Advisor for Business Continuity to lead and embed a culture of continuity excellence in a government organisation. The successful candidate will have experience in BCP or emergency management from a complex organisation. This critical role will drive the strategy and execution of initiatives that enhance the organisation's preparedness and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and implement the organisation's business continuity strategy, ensuring the identification of essential services and mitigation of risks.
- Oversee the Business Continuity strategy ensuring it remains current and effective.
- Develop and deliver training programs to increase awareness and understanding of business continuity across the organisation.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a proactive continuity culture.
- Facilitate business continuity activities, including business impact analyses and exercises.
- Advise the Crisis Response Team on executing contingency plans.
- Partner with Tier 3 managers to create tailored continuity plans.
Key Experience:
- Experience in emergency management or business continuity from a complex organisation.
- Knowledge of life/safety, physical security, evacuation planning, disaster recovery, and incident management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Experience influencing stakeholders to secure buy-in for organisational initiatives.
