Risk Contractor - Hamilton

This is a hands-on advisory role focused on uplifting and embedding the organisation’s new risk framework, with a strong emphasis on refreshing and aligning existing risk registers.

You will play a critical role in supporting regional teams by:

• Reviewing and updating risk registers to ensure alignment with the organisation’s new risk framework
• Identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement in risk articulation and controls
• Providing clear, practical risk advice to key regional stakeholders
• Supporting consistent application of risk principles across the organisation
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders to drive understanding and adoption of the framework

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience reviewing and implementing enterprise risk frameworks
• Strong background working with risk registers in complex or regulated environments
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and advisory skills, ideally within the public sector
• The ability to hit the ground running and work autonomously
• Clear, confident communication skills and a pragmatic, collaborative approach

Working Arrangements

• Preference for on-site presence in Hamilton or Tauranga
• Some remote working may be considered, with regular travel into the region required

Contract Details

• Duration: Immediate start until 30 June
• Rate: $90 – $110 per hour (dependent on experience)
