Our client, a leading boutique law firm, specialising in corporate and commercial litigation, is seeking a new Practice Manager to join their busy team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in stunning CBD offices where you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the practice including IT, AML, HR, and some exciting special projects. You will have a proven background in the legal industry, or professional services, and experience as a Practice Manager,

  • Opportunity to work in a varied and busy role for a Boutique Legal firm in the CBD - great offices and views!
  • Diverse role with lots of variety; IT, AML, HR, co-ordinating events and social/ marketing
  • Chance to work on special adhoc projects such as overseeing their Toitu accreditation
  • WFH 1 day per week plus flex start/finish times


What you'll do:

As a Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. Your responsibilities will span across various areas including IT, AML, HR, and general tasks. In the realm of IT, you will assist with maintaining policies and registers, and ensure updates are implemented on devices, as well as recommending new technology and refining systems and processes. As part of your HR duties, you will train new recruits and manage recruitment processes. Additionally, you will handle general tasks such as renewing insurance policies, managing LinkedIn posts, maintaining the website, organising client events, and overseeing any special projects, such as office refurbishments, or Toitu accreditation.

  • Assisting with IT issues and maintaining policies and registers
  • Gathering information for annual reporting and arranging annual AML training
  • Training new recruits and managing recruitment processes
  • Renewing insurance policies and managing LinkedIn posts
  • Maintaining website and organising client and company events
  • Working on special projects such as Toitu accreditation


What you bring:

The ideal Practice Manager candidate brings a wealth of experience from legal or professional services. Your previous experience as a Practice Manager has equipped you with strong organisational skills that allow you to manage diverse responsibilities effectively. Your technological prowess enables you to handle IT-related tasks efficiently. You will show capability to implement new systems and procedures for the office using your strategic thinking skills. You will have a "can do attitude" where you love to take ownership of your role, and be confident enough to look at ways to enhance an already thriving legal business.

  • Background in legal or professional services is essential
  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager is required
  • Strong technological skills are necessary - must be able to implement new systems and processes
  • Experience working on ad-hoc projects would be beneficial
  • Some exposure to marketing/events and LinkedIn would be an advantage
