The successful candidate will be entrusted with the task of providing expertise, guidance, tools, and processes to aid in fostering an effective risk and compliance culture throughout the organisation. About the Role:
As a Risk and Compliance Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the risk management strategy within the organisation. You will provide expert advice on risk mitigation strategies while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include developing systems, processes, tools, and templates to support the implementation of risk management frameworks across the organisation. You will also contribute to ongoing development efforts to ensure effective management of risk for the organisation on an ongoing basis. Furthermore, you will lead strategic risk assurance activities while facilitating the development of operational risk profiles with various teams across the council.
What you will bring:
The ideal candidate for this position will have a demonstrated ability to improve processes and systems effectively. You are confident using Microsoft Office applications and have relevant qualifications at diploma level or equivalent. A law qualification or legal graduate status would be advantageous. Your excellent organisational skills enable you to prioritise multiple responsibilities effectively to meet deadlines.
