Program eligibility

You can refer anyone you know personally (not through employment or agency connections).
Your friend must be new to Robert Walters and not have contacted us in the past three months.
They must be eligible to work in Australia or New Zealand and register via your referral link.

How does the Refer a Friend program work?

Sign up as a referrer using the button above. Then, share your unique referral link with a friend. If they register through your link, apply for a job with Robert Walters, and get successfully placed, you’ll receive a $200 e-voucher* as a thank you.

Important: Your friend must use the same email address to sign up for the referral program and when applying for roles with Robert Walters.
Who can I refer?
You can refer anyone who is:
- Not already in contact with Robert Walters (i.e., not on our database or engaged with us in the last 3 months).
- Eligible to work in Australia or New Zealand.
Can I refer more than one person?

Yes! There’s no limit to how many friends you can refer. You’ll receive a $200 e-voucher* for each successful placement, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions.
How will I receive my reward?

Your $200 e-voucher will be sent to the email address you registered with the program up to 60 days after your friend starts their new role. This is provided that all the eligibility criteria in the terms and conditions are met.
What kind of jobs qualify for a referral reward?

Both permanent and contract/temporary roles in Australia and New Zealand qualify, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
Can I refer myself?

No, self-referrals are not allowed.
What if two people refer the same person?

Only the first person to refer the candidate (based on the timestamp of the referral submission) will receive the reward if the referral is successful.
Are there any exclusions?
Yes, the following do not qualify:
- Referrals of Robert Walters employees or their family members.
- Candidates already on our database or in contact with us in the last 3 months.
- Referrals made outside the official platform (e.g., verbal recommendations).
What if my friend doesn’t get placed in a role?

Unfortunately, if your referral isn’t successfully placed in a role, you won’t receive a reward—but you’re welcome to refer someone else!
How do I track my referrals?

You can track your referrals and rewards through the Referral Hero platform after signing up.
