Program eligibility
- You can refer anyone you know (not through employment or agency connections).
The person being referred:
- Must register and apply for a role using the unique link sent by the referrer
- Must not have been placed in a role by Robert Walters within the last 3 months
- Must be eligible to work in Australia or New Zealand
- Must be successfully placed in a role within 12 months of the date they registered as a Referee

How does the Refer a Contractor program work?
Sign up as a referrer using the button above. Then, share your unique referral link with a friend or colleague. If they register through your link, apply for a job with Robert Walters, and get successfully placed, you’ll receive a $200 e-voucher* as a thank you.
Important: Your contractor must use the same email address to sign up for the referral program and when applying for roles with Robert Walters.

How many people can I refer?
There’s no limit to how many contractors you can refer. You’ll receive a $200 e-voucher* for each successful placement, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions. -
Does this only work for contractors?
No, the referral program still works for temporary and permanent roles as well! You can earn rewards for all your successful placements, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions. -
How will I receive my reward?
Your $200 e-voucher will be sent to the email address you registered with the program up to 60 days after your referral starts their new role. This is provided that all the eligibility criteria in the terms and conditions are met. -
What kind of jobs qualify for a referral reward?
All contract/temporary and permanent roles in Australia and New Zealand qualify, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. -
Can I refer myself?
No, self-referrals are not allowed. -
What if two people refer the same person?
Only the first person to refer the candidate (based on the timestamp of the referral submission) will receive the reward if the referral is successful. -
Are there any exclusions?
Yes, the following do not qualify:
- Referrals of Robert Walters employees or their family members
- Referrals of someone who has already been referred by another person
- Referrals made outside the official platform (e.g., verbal recommendations)
- Self-referrals

What if my friend doesn’t get placed in a role?
Unfortunately, if your referral isn’t successfully placed in a role, you won’t receive a reward, but you’re welcome to refer someone else! -
How do I track my referrals?
You can track your referrals and rewards through the Referral Hero platform after signing up.
