- Owning the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Driving improvements in order-to-cash processes to eliminate inefficiencies and ensure clean data flows into the general ledger.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligations such as GST and PAYE.
- Collaborating with the Finance Systems and Data Lead to enhance procurement and revenue systems.
- Managing external audit relationships and preparing for seamless transitions.
- Supporting the GM Finance in building frameworks for direct oversight post-transition.
- Leading and developing your team through this period of change while maintaining engagement and stability.
What Success Looks Like:
You’ll know you’ve succeeded when:
- The order-to-cash cycle is reliable, well-documented, and producing clean data that integrates seamlessly into the general ledger.
- Month-end close is completed accurately and on time every period.
- Process improvements are progressing against milestones, with high confidence in data quality across functions.
- The transition to GM Finance oversight is well-prepared with clear processes, role accountabilities, and stable team performance.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A strong background in both financial operations (AP, AR, billing) and financial control (accounting, reporting).
- Leadership experience across these areas during periods of change or improvement.
- CA qualification (or equivalent) with expertise in financial reporting, close management, and process redesign.
- A process-driven mindset with proven ability to map and improve order-to-cash or procure-to-pay workflows.
- Effective people leadership skills to guide a team through transition while maintaining engagement.
- High standards for accuracy and systematic financial control practices.
