Commercial Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager on a 12 month FTC. This is a pivotal role partnering with Sales, Marketing, and the wider business to optimise value across the full P&L, while ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.

About the Role:

• Act as the finance lead for the Retail Channel, driving integrated business planning processes (Strategic Plan, Category Plan, Budget, S&OP).
• Provide insightful analysis into business performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and mitigate risks.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to deliver strategic objectives and manage financial performance across categories and sub-channels.
• Lead commercial reviews of key categories, ensuring robust processes for trade spend, promotional activities, and capex investments.
• Develop pricing strategies, build business cases for new product development (NPD), and provide financial leadership on tenders and customer opportunities.
• Prepare financial presentations for monthly executive reviews and support decision-making with data-driven insights.

What You’ll Bring:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• A degree in Commerce or Finance; CA/CPA (essential)
• 5–7 years of analytical business partnering experience in a fast-paced commercial finance environment with >$50M in gross sales (essential).
• Strong financial acumen with advanced MS Excel skills and expertise in financial modeling.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or complex retail trade environments (desired).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• A strategic mindset with a commercial approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
