What you'll do:

As Lead Advisor Business Intelligence, you will play an instrumental role in guiding the direction of business intelligence initiatives within a large-scale environment. Your days will be filled with engaging senior stakeholders on critical projects, reviewing solution designs for robustness, mentoring team members through complex challenges, and ensuring that every aspect of BI delivery meets the highest standards. You will work collaboratively across multiple teams—BI developers, GIS experts, architects—to create seamless analytics solutions that empower decision-makers at every level. Your ability to translate technical detail into meaningful insights will be crucial as you help shape strategy while maintaining hands-on involvement in troubleshooting issues or refining data models. What you bring:

To excel as Lead Advisor Business Intelligence, you will bring a wealth of experience from previous roles where you have combined deep technical know-how with supportive leadership. Your background should include substantial exposure to enterprise-level BI environments—ideally involving both public sector or large private sector settings—where you have been responsible for guiding solution architecture as well as hands-on troubleshooting. Your interpersonal skills will set you apart: you are adept at building trust with stakeholders at all levels while nurturing collaboration among colleagues. A passion for continuous improvement drives your approach; whether it’s refining governance frameworks or introducing new tools into the Microsoft ecosystem. • Extensive experience leading business intelligence functions within large or complex organisations where you have demonstrated both hands-on capability and strategic oversight.
• Advanced skills in Power BI development coupled with proven expertise in designing scalable analytics solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Strong background working with Databricks or similar modern data platforms where you have architected or optimised end-to-end data pipelines.
• Demonstrated proficiency in data modelling techniques that underpin robust reporting frameworks and enable actionable insights for stakeholders.
• A track record of diagnosing and resolving intricate BI or data-related issues quickly while maintaining focus on long-term objectives.
• Exceptional stakeholder management abilities allowing you to engage effectively with executives as well as technical teams across various disciplines.
• Experience operating at consultant, lead advisor or senior specialist level where your influence has shaped project outcomes or improved delivery standards.
• Proven ability to mentor junior staff members by sharing knowledge generously and fostering an inclusive learning environment within multidisciplinary teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft’s suite of data analytics tools alongside awareness of emerging trends in business intelligence technology.
