Invest New Zealand is seeking a commercially curious Investment Analyst to join their Auckland team. You’ll provide commercial, financial, and market analysis that supports major international investment opportunities. This role offers exposure to high-impact projects, close collaboration with senior leaders and stakeholders, and the opportunity to work across a broad range of industries and global markets.

What you’ll do

• Provide real-time global insights, benchmarking, and analysis to support investment attraction across projects, sectors, and priority markets.
• Proactively analyse data to deliver depth, judgement, and insight beyond what customers or AI tools can produce.
• Support investment activity and deliverables at project, sector, and global levels across the full investment lifecycle.
• Act as a trusted, proactive partner within global, cross-functional investment project teams.
• Support the qualification of investors/partners, sourcing new opportunities generating market and investor intelligence, applying strong investment fundamentals.

What you’ll bring

• 4+ year's experience in commercial, financial, or market analysis within corporate finance, consulting, investment, or strategy.
• A drive to contribute to some exciting projects, and learn from a range of investment specialists.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Experience synthesising complex information into practical business insights.
• Understanding of investment fundamentals, capital structures, and commercial drivers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience using AI and data analytics tools to support analysis.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Law, or Accountancy.
• Sector experience in strategic growth industries is beneficial but not essential
