A financial services provider is seeking a Middle Office Senior Analyst to join their team in New Zealand. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing financial markets business, working closely with front office traders, settlements and other internal teams to support trading activity from execution through to settlement.

With ongoing business growth and opportunities to contribute to system enhancements and process improvements, this role offers plenty of scope to develop your expertise within financial markets.
What you'll do:
As a Middle Office Senior Analyst, you will support day-to-day trading operations across New Zealand equities and fixed income, with responsibilities including:
- Manage trade booking, allocation, matching and processing across Cash Equities and Fixed Income.
- Operate Securitease for trade capture, matching and settlement instructions.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, exceptions and failed or pending settlements.
- Process corporate actions and support accurate client reporting.
- Maintain a strong control environment to minimise operational risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with traders, settlements and internal teams to resolve trade-related issues.
- Contribute to system enhancements, upgrades and operational improvement projects.
- Cross-train across domestic and international settlements product lines.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, brokers and external partners.
- Support the ongoing growth and development of the New Zealand settlements function.
What you bring:
- At least two year’s experience supporting a sales and trading business.
- Knowledge of Cash Equities and Fixed Income trade processing within a Middle Office environment.
- Familiarity with trading, execution management and order management systems; experience with IRESS, Securitease or CTM is advantageous.
- Experience investigating exceptions and resolving intersystem reconciliation breaks.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, controls and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
