Management Accountant

A 6-month fixed term contract starting mid-end September 2026. Nelson location.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will provide support to one of the organisation's key service areas and be responsible for a range of management accounting and financial reporting activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Month-end reporting and accruals
• Financial reporting and variance analysis
• Budgeting
• Personnel roster reviews and costings
• Monthly revenue invoicing and reconciliations
• Supporting operational leaders with financial insights and advice
• Working across Excel, Oracle and other finance systems

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

• A qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline is preferred.
• Previous management accounting or finance analyst experience
• Confident Excel capability
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems, ideally Oracle
• The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive and collaborative approach to business partnering

CA qualification is not essential; however, applicants will have a solid grounding in accounting principles and practical management accounting experience.
