Fractional Head of Technology / IT Leadership

We are partnering with a well-established professional services organisation seeking a senior technology leader to take ownership of technology operations, cybersecurity governance, vendor management, and IT strategy across the business. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at both a strategic and operational level within a highly collaborative, non-hierarchical environment.

Working closely with a partnership group, you will act as the trusted advisor across all things technology — ensuring systems, suppliers, security, and projects are aligned to business needs and operating effectively.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the organisation’s technology strategy and roadmap
• Managing outsourced IT and cybersecurity vendors
• Driving cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, and policy management
• Overseeing IT projects and technology change initiatives
• Reviewing supplier performance, identifying gaps, and driving continuous improvement
• Managing technology budgets, licensing, hardware lifecycle planning, and reporting
• Supporting business continuity, penetration testing, and security readiness
• Advising senior stakeholders on technology decisions and best practice

About you:

You will likely come from a Head of IT, IT Manager, Technology Manager, CIO, or similar leadership background and bring strong experience across:

• Vendor and stakeholder management
• Cybersecurity governance and compliance
• IT operations and infrastructure oversight
• Technology strategy and transformation
• Professional services or other complex business environments

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, influencing senior stakeholders, and owning technology outcomes without needing to manage a large internal team.
