Software Engineer AI - Intermediate - Senior

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer – AI to join a high‑performing technology team working on intelligent systems that are production‑ready, secure, and impactful. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys combining strong software fundamentals with modern AI and machine‑learning capabilities.

The Role:

• Designing and building AI‑powered software solutions for production use
• Integrating machine learning and generative AI models into applications
• Developing APIs and services that expose AI capabilities safely and efficiently
• Working with data pipelines to support model training, inference, and monitoring
• Applying software engineering best practices across testing, security, and CI/CD
• Contributing to AI governance, responsible AI practices, and model lifecycle management
• Collaborating across cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions

Ideal Person:

• Commercial software development (backend‑focused preferred) - Python and/or Java
• Machine learning and/or generative AI concepts and tooling
• Integrating AI models via APIs or embedded services
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Secure, scalable application design
• Azure AI services, OpenAI, or similar LLM platforms
• MLOps practices (model deployment, monitoring, versioning)
• Data engineering fundamentals
• Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience operating in regulated or enterprise environments
