Contract Senior Full Stack Developer

We’re working with a leading organisation in the financial services sector who are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join their team on a 12-month contract. This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful, large-scale digital initiatives in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the delivery of complex features and technical initiatives, balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability
• Design and build scalable, modern systems using best engineering practices
• Contribute to production support and on-call rotations to maintain system reliability
• Solve complex problems, working through ambiguity to deliver practical solutions
• Champion quality, performance, and security across the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence technical direction
• Mentor and support other developers, contributing to a strong engineering culture

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience building modern front-end applications in enterprise environments
• Proven ability to lead and influence technical decisions within a team
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Technical skills (essential)

• React, TypeScript, Node.js
• Modern front-end architecture (state management, API abstraction)
• Experience with testing frameworks
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• RESTful APIs (Java Spring Boot and SQL experience beneficial)

Nice to have

• Micro-frontend architecture experience
• AWS experience (deployment and configuration)
• Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright
