Robert Walters success at the 2018 RCSA Awards

Robert Walters came away with two wins at the recent RCSA awards held in Auckland. Senior consultant in the Wellington IT team, Natasha Keith was named ’Rising Star of the Year’ for her ethical approach to recruitment. Robert Walters New Zealand also picked up an award for ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ from the sponsorship of 2017 British & Irish Lions Tour. 

The ‘Rising Star of the Year’ category is awarded to a recruitment professional who not only has shown significant investment in their personal and professional career development, they're actively involved in promoting innovative and inclusive workplaces.

Natasha is a standout amongst her peers due to her dedication to helping clients and candidates succeed in the IT industry. The judges were not only impressed with Natasha’s top financial performance, what really stood out was her genuine passion for helping people and her ability to spot a candidate’s potential outside of the job description. This is just one of her many examples:

“I spoke with a really intelligent young man, who I felt was underpaid at a design company. His dream was to travel the world with his girlfriend but he was broke. Meanwhile, one of my clients, was searching for a designer with 10 years’ experience. I said to them, ‘This guy doesn’t have the experience but he’ll work harder for you than anyone because he just wants the chance’. They listened, and ended up offering the candidate the role. The candidate remained with the company two years, doubled his salary, and now works for the company remotely around the world.”

Robert Walters New Zealand also received the award for ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’. This category recognises an organisation who has driven change and growth in their work, delivering a marketing campaign which has delivered impact and developed business opportunities with improved business results. Robert Walters was a sponsor of the 2017 British & Irish Lions tour, hosting numerous events and networking opportunities for candidates and clients. 

A panel of independent recruitment experts judged Natasha as ‘Rising Star of the Year’ and Robert Walters with ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ at the RCSA awards ceremony held at the Hilton in Auckland on 5 July 2018.
