Resource Management Lawyer

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced resource management legal professional to join a highly regarded law firm. You will have the opportunity to work on meaningful resource management initiatives for a partner who values collaboration and professional growth.

About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

You will be at the forefront of resource management and environmental law. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping resource management outcomes by advising clients on diverse and impactful projects. Your work will involve, supporting planning processes for both private and public sector initiatives, guiding large-scale infrastructure developments, and addressing complex issues related to freshwater allocation and compliance. There will be a good balance of contentious and non-contentious work, including dealing with enforcement matters.

Flexible working is on offer including hybrid working and part-time, and remote working will be considered for the right person.

What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu

• 3+ years of post-admission experience with some acquired in resource management or environmental law
• A current New Zealand practicing certificate or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex resource management or environmental law matters
• Motivated to learn and develop within the firm
• A proactive approach with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
