Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

This is a diverse practice encompassing areas such as cutting-edge commercial agreements (including technology-related contracts), corporate advisory and governance. Mergers and acquisitions work is on offer if it is of interest, but it is only a small part of the practice, so experience in this area is not crucial.

In this position, you will provide corporate and commercial advice, draft commercial contracts, and support procurement processes across a range of industries in the private and public sectors. There are opportunities for growth and autonomy, with senior lawyers running their own projects and files, and juniors getting excellent mentoring and support.

The salary on offer is highly competitive along with a range of benefits including a key focus on learning and development. Flexible working will be considered including full-time or part-time, or remote for the right person.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Our client is seeking a talented lawyer with 2-7 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) who thrives in an environment that values versatility and innovation. You will need:

• Commercial / contracts experience acquired in the public or private sector
• A pragmatic approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong attention to detail
• A solid academic record (B+ average or higher is preferred)
• A law degree – ideally you will be commonwealth qualified
