Legal Director - Property & Conveyancing
An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Property & Conveyancing professional who is ready to step into a true leadership role within a growing New Zealand-focused practice. Our client is seeking a commercially minded Director, who brings deep conveyancing expertise, strong leadership capability, and an entrepreneurial approach to growing a high-performing team and client base.
This is more than a technical role - it is an opportunity to become a key local representative for the firm in New Zealand and help shape the future direction of the practice while maintaining hands-on involvement with quality transactional work. You will be trusted with significant autonomy and supported to step up into a genuine leadership position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and mentoring a conveyancing team
- Managing workflow and maintaining strong risk oversight
- Handling complex and high-value conveyancing transactions
- Building strong client and referral relationships across New Zealand
- Acting as the local face and representative of the firm
- Contributing to strategic growth initiatives and business development
- Supporting a collaborative, high-trust culture
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in conveyancing/property law
- Proven ability to manage or mentor team members
- Strong technical capability with excellent attention to detail
- Confidence operating autonomously with sound commercial judgement
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a growth-focused attitude
- A leader who enjoys building relationships and developing people
- Commitment to the New Zealand market and local client service

Ideally, you will already hold the following qualifications, or be willing to complete them with the full support of the business:
