NOMINATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2026 NEW ZEALAND LEADERSHIP AWARDS
1. Event Overview
Robert Walters New Zealand Limited (“Robert Walters”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is proud to present the 2026 New Zealand Leadership Awards (“Awards”), due to take place on 10 September 2026
2. Scope of Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all participants in the Awards, including voters, nominators, nominees, the judging panel, and individuals providing supporting material, and incorporate the matters specified in the Nomination Form and including category criteria, judging information and any additional relevant instructions issued by Robert Walters.
3. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
“Awards Platform” means the online platform used to administer the Awards, currently hosted at https://nzleadership.awardsplatform.com/ and provided by Creative Force/Award Force and its service providers.
“Nomination Form” means the online nomination form available on the Awards Platform, including all required questions, fields, declarations, attachments and category‑specific information needed to submit a nomination.
“Nominator” means the person submitting a nomination, who may also be the Nominee.
“Nominee” means the person who is the subject of a nomination.
“Participants” means all individuals or entities to whom these Terms apply, including Nominators, Nominees, Voters, judges, and any individuals providing supporting material or otherwise taking part in the Awards process.
“Personal Information” has the meaning given in the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).
“Public Voting Category” means any Award category identified by Robert Walters as requiring public voting, where shortlisted nominees’ limited personal information such as name, job title, organisation, nomination summary as well as any documentation submitted in support of the nomination, will be publicly viewable for voting by members of the public.
“Voter” means any individual who casts a vote in a Public Voting Category. One vote per individual is permitted only.
4. Acceptance Through Submission
By submitting a nomination, creating or using an account on the Awards Platform, accepting a nomination, voting, Participants agree to be bound by these Terms.
5. Consents and Confirmations
Participants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their Personal Information in accordance with these Terms and the Robert Walters Privacy Policy.
By submitting a nomination, Nominators:
a. consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their Personal Information in accordance with these Terms and Robert Walters’ Privacy Policy; and
b. confirm they have obtained the Nominee’s consent to be nominated and have informed the Nominee:
· what information will be shared with Robert Walters and the Awards Platform; and
· that if shortlisted for a Public Voting Category, their personal information such as their name, job title, organisation and nomination summary [as well as any documentation submitted in support of the nomination] will be made publicly available;
c. It should be noted that the Nominee will be requested to provide express consent to confirm the Nomination Form details and their consent to the above, before moving forward in the process.
Personal Information is collected for the administration and assessment of nominations, judging, verification, interviews, public voting for applicable categories, Awards announcements and Awards promotion, marketing communications and to be contacted by recruitment consultants on opportunities from Robert Walters where opted-in to receive such communications (see condition 22). If required information is not provided, the nomination may not be considered.
6. Eligibility of Nominees
Any New Zealand business or individual may nominate or be nominated, provided the nomination meets the category criteria.
7. Nomination Process, Shortlisting and Interviews

Judging Period: |
From 04 May 2026 to 17 July 2026 by Robert Walters and selected judging panels. |
Interviews: |
Shortlisted nominees must undertake a one‑hour online interview with the judging panel and provide supporting documents if requested. |
Robert Walters may amend dates or processes where reasonably necessary and will aim to notify Participants when changes materially affect the Awards process.
8. Nomination Confirmation Process
Nominees will be contacted by email to confirm acceptance of their nomination and provide consent to use of their personal information. Robert Walters may request additional supporting information. Nominees are expected to comply with reasonable requests.
9. Acceptance of Terms
For the avoidance of doubt, each Nominator’s submission of a nomination and the Nominee’s acceptance of their nomination constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
10. Responsibility for Information Provided
Nominators (including when they are also the Nominee) are responsible for ensuring all information submitted is accurate, complete, not misleading, and does not breach third‑party rights (including privacy, confidentiality or intellectual property rights).
11. Use of Awards Platform and Data Handling
Participation in the Awards requires use of the Awards Platform. By using the Awards Platform, you also agree to the terms, privacy policy and cookie policy of the Platform Provider. See here - Creative Force Privacy Policy, Creative Force Cookie Policy and Creative Force Terms of Service.
Awards data may be stored or processed overseas. Where Personal Information is disclosed outside New Zealand, Robert Walters will comply with Information Privacy Principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020, which may include relying on your authorisation after informing you that overseas recipients may not be required to protect information to New Zealand standards.
12. Amendments to Entries
No alterations to submitted entries will be permitted after 1 May 2026/11:59PM NZT[LA1] . For alteration requests before this deadline, email: nzleadershipawards@robertwalters.co.nz.
13. Verification of Information
Robert Walters may check information or statements relating to a Nominee (including from third parties). Nominees consent to such verification and agree to provide documents or evidence where reasonably required.
14. Non-Compliance
Failure by a Nominator or Nominee to reasonably comply with requests for information, verification or interview participation may result in removal from consideration.
15. Confidentiality, Public Voting and Retention
d. Non‑public voting categories
All nomination materials remain confidential to Robert Walters, the judging panel and service providers, except where disclosure is required by law or form part of Public Voting categories.

16. Decisions
Judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into, except for administrative matters.
17. Disqualification
Robert Walters may disqualify any entry where, in its reasonable discretion, the entry:
· is offensive, unlawful, defamatory or misleading;
· does not comply with these Terms or category criteria; or
· tampers with or compromises the integrity of the nomination or judging process.
18. Interpretation
Where interpretation of these Terms or category criteria is required, Robert Walters will interpret them in a manner intended to uphold fairness, consistency and integrity of the Awards and has sole discretion over interpretation.
19. Use of Awards Content and Results
By participating, you grant Robert Walters a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free, non‑exclusive licence to use submitted materials for Awards administration, public voting (as applicable) and Awards promotion. Personal Information will only be used in accordance with Privacy Laws and required consents.
20. Disclosure of Personal Information
Robert Walters may disclose Personal Information to affiliates, judges, service providers (including the Awards Platform provider), contractors and advisers for Awards administration.
For Public Voting Categories, Nominee’s limited personal information such as name, job title, organisation and nomination summary [as well as any documentation submitted in support of the nomination] will be made publicly available.
21. Marketing Communications
Participants may opt in to receive marketing communications or recruitment opportunities from Robert Walters. Opt-out is available at any time. Robert Walters complies with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.
22. Photography and Event Filming Consent
By attending the Awards event or associated activities, you consent to being photographed or recorded. Event media may be used for Awards promotion, marketing, future events and internal communications.
If you wish to opt out, notify staff at the event or email nzleadershipawards@robertwalters.co.nz in advance. Incidental capture in crowd scenes may still occur and Robert Walters or any of its vendors will not be held liable for such incidental capture.
23. Privacy Requests
For access or correction of Personal Information or for privacy queries, contact: ANZPrivacyOfficer@robertwalters.com.au.
You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand).
24. Indemnity and Release
Participants release Robert Walters and the judging panel from claims arising from participation, and indemnify Robert Walters, its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees against losses, damages, claims and liabilities arising from breaches of these Terms or from submitted materials that infringe third‑party rights.
25. Amendments
Robert Walters may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Awards Platform and/or email where possible.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law and Participants submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
