Senior Advisor - Quality and Compliance

We are looking for a Senior Advisor – Quality and Compliance (Transport) to lead and strengthen assessment quality across commercial road transport and logistics. If you thrive at the intersection of regulation, assessment practice, and industry credibility.

About the role:

You’ll take a lead role across:

• Licensing assessments
• Driver licence endorsement unit standards
• Assessment resources and processes alignment

You’ll also play a key role in:

• Designing and reviewing assessment strategies and policies
• Supporting and guiding assessors and moderation activity
• Auditing and monitoring approved course providers
• Working closely with NZQA, Waka Kotahi, training providers, and industry

This is a role where sound judgement, technical credibility, and strong relationships really matter.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who understands both the regulatory environment and how assessment works in practice:

• Strong experience in vocational education, assessment, or quality assurance
• In-depth knowledge of NZQA / NZQF requirements
• Proven experience in assessment design, moderation, or compliance
• Background in transport, logistics, or heavy vehicle licensing is highly desirable
• Confidence working with government agencies and industry stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

You’ll be comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, with the resilience to navigate complexity and change.
