Senior Analysts – Online Gambling Regulation
Senior Analysts – Online Gambling Regulation We are delighted to be partnering with DIA to establish a brand-new regulatory team to deliver the framework introduced through the Online Casino Gambling Bill. For the first time, this will create a licensing and regulatory framework for online casino gambling in New Zealand.
The Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 is a major piece of legislation passed in New Zealand, marking a significant shift in how online casino gambling is regulated in the country and help deliver safer outcomes for communities across New Zealand.
The law was introduced to regulate a previously largely unregulated online gambling sector. Its main objectives are to establish a licensing regime for online casino operators, ban unlicensed operators and advertising, protect consumers and minimise gambling harm and ensure gambling profits contribute to the community and tax system.
These are fantastic opportunities to be part of a high profile, multidisciplinary team on the forefront of regulatory rigour in the digital era.
