As a Procurement Specialist based in Auckland, you will be at the heart of resource management efforts within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve handling procurement administration tasks with care, running RFPs efficiently, engaging thoughtfully with both internal stakeholders like Branch Managers and Project Managers as well as external suppliers.
In addition, you will:
- Manage procurement administration tasks with precision, ensuring all documentation and processes are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Own Request for Proposals (RFPs) from start to finish, coordinating timelines, requirements, and communications with all involved parties.
- Engage regularly with internal stakeholders such as Branch Managers and Project Managers to understand their needs and provide tailored procurement solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities using advanced Excel skills to track progress, analyse data, and report outcomes.
- Support operations by streamlining procurement workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and industry regulations throughout all procurement processes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to share insights, resolve challenges together, and achieve communal goals.
We are looking for:
- Strong proficiency in Excel enables you to manage complex data sets for procurement tracking and reporting purposes.
- 2-3 years’ in procurement administration ensures you can handle documentation, processes, and compliance requirements effectively.
- Experience in operations giving insight into workflow optimisation and practical problem-solving within procurement functions.
- Proven ability to run RFPs demonstrates your organisational skills as well as your capacity for clear communication with multiple stakeholders.
- Confident communication style allows you to engage warmly with internal teams such as Branch Managers or Project Managers as well as external suppliers.
