We're looking for a Project Manager to join a collaborative Property & Assets team delivering a diverse portfolio of facilities and capital works projects. From laboratory refurbishments and office fit-outs to roof replacements, building upgrades and critical infrastructure projects, no two days are the same. The team manage a diverse portfolio comprising commercial, laboratory and specialised facilities across the ~100,000m² site, with a building footprint of ~22,000 m², delivering capital projects that support critical business operations and organisational growth.
You'll work alongside experienced property, facilities and project professionals, gaining exposure to increasingly complex projects and opportunities to progress your project management career.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager ready to take the next step, or an early-career Project Manager looking for greater ownership and variety.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead projects valued between $50,000 and $2 million, managing every stage of the project lifecycle, including:
- Project scoping, budgeting and business case development
- Procurement, tendering and contract administration
- Managing consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
- Delivering projects safely, on time and within budget
- Monitoring project costs, risks, programmes and reporting
- Managing contractor health and safety and ensuring compliance
- Supporting the delivery of annual capital works programmes
- Building strong relationships across internal teams and external suppliers
What you'll bring
- Experience delivering construction, facilities or capital works projects end-to-end
- Contract administration experience working with NZS3910 and NZS3916 contracts would be advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach
- PRINCE2 (or similar) is desirable
