Senior Risk Manager

A leading bank, is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening risk across their Business Banking portfolio. As a Senior Risk Manager. you'll drive meaningful change, build risk capability, and act as a trusted advisor — all while helping deliver on its strategy.

What you'll do:

  • Lead identification, management and mitigation of operational risk across Business Banking, reinforcing the bank's risk management frameworks
  • Drive and support risk buy-down, overseeing risk and control processes to build awareness and reduce exposure
  • Play a key operational risk role supporting the development and rollout of the division's new lending origination platform
  • Lead material change to simplify risk processes for both dedicated risk teams and the wider business
  • Enhance risk reporting and analytics to deliver timely, accurate and insightful information that supports decision-making
  • Lead and oversee delivery of risk initiatives and quarterly risk priorities
  • Build and develop risk capability across the team, Business Banking, and the wider bank
  • Lift risk maturity and strengthen risk culture across Business Banking
  • Foster a continuous learning culture where feedback is valued and knowledge actively shared
  • Act as a trusted advisor with strong collaborative relationships across the Business Banking Leadership Team and wider risk functions

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years in financial services with strong operational risk experience
  • Sharp analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and build risk capability at all levels
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across leadership and peer groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including reporting and commentary
  • A collaborative, curious mindset and genuine commitment to continuous improvement
