Senior Assurance Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Senior Operational Controls Assurance Analyst to play a critical role in assessing and enhancing operational controls across a large and complex organisation. About the Role
As a Senior Operational Controls Assurance Analyst, you will lead assurance activities focused on evaluating the design and effectiveness of operational controls. Working closely with business leaders and subject matter experts, you will provide practical recommendations that strengthen control frameworks and support consistent, effective ways of working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting operational control reviews, testing, and analysis.
- Assessing control design and operational effectiveness.
- Identifying control gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Preparing clear and actionable assurance reporting.
- Partnering with stakeholders to support remediation and continuous improvement activities.
- Documenting processes, risks, controls, and agreed actions in a structured manner. ]
About You
You will bring a strong background in operational risk, controls, assurance, internal audit, or a related discipline, along with the ability to balance assurance requirements with operational realities.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience working within risk, controls, assurance, or audit environments.
- Strong knowledge of operational risk and control frameworks.
- Proven experience assessing and testing controls.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
- The ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Experience documenting processes, risks, controls, and remediation plans.
