Position Overview:
As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and fostering long-term customer relationships. Combining your technical expertise with strategic account management skills, you will manage key accounts, identify new business opportunities, quotations and deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts across various industries.
    • Act as the primary technical and commercial contact for strategic customers.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and lifecycle replacement of UPS systems.
  2. Sales & Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
    • Conduct market research to uncover emerging sectors and customer needs.
    • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  3. Technical Sales Support:
    • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements.
    • Design and recommend UPS solutions based on client needs, including site assessments and load analysis.
  4. Collaboration & Project Coordination:
    • Work closely with engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Support commissioning, installation, and after-sales service handover.
  5. Contract Negotiation & Commercial Management:
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with customers while ensuring profitability.
    • Manage contract renewals and service agreements for key accounts.
  6. Customer Support & Retention:
    • Provide ongoing technical advice and support to clients.
    • Address customer concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of sales revenue and margin targets
  • Growth of key account revenue and market share
  • Customer retention rates and contract renewals
  • Conversion rate of qualified leads into closed deals

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 5–10 years’ experience in technical sales (preferably in UPS systems, critical power or electrical infrastructure)
  • Proven experience managing key accounts or large customers

Desired Competencies:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to present technical solutions in a commercial context effectively
  • Solid knowledge of UPS systems, power distribution, and backup power solutions
  • Experience working with data centres or critical power environments is highly desirable
