Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting meaningful work? We are seeking a skilled Administration Officer to join our client's Christchurch-based team on a 3 month temporary basis. This is your opportunity to contribute and make a difference in one of the most unique environments on Earth.

The Administration team plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations andd provides exceptional support to staff, stakeholders and visitors.

The Role

As an Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative services to support this organisation’s goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering excellent customer service at reception and assisting visitors, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements for staff.
  • Managing meeting room bookings, technical assistance, and catering for events.
  • Supporting committees with secretarial tasks such as minute-taking.
  • Maintaining office supplies, mail distribution, and common areas to a professional standard.
  • Assisting with onboarding/offboarding processes for staff.
  • Providing backup support for the Executive Assistant when required.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Confidence working in a professional administrative environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • A friendly, can-do attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

A tertiary qualification in administration or a related field is desirable but not essential.
