Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role

Working as part of a high-calibre finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering month-end reporting, statutory compliance, technical accounting support, audit management, and process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading month-end close activities across key accounting areas
• Reviewing financial results, analysing trends and investigating variances
• Supporting statutory reporting and external audit processes
• Providing technical accounting advice and preparing accounting position papers
• Building strong relationships across finance and wider business functions
• Driving process improvements and enhancing finance systems and controls
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Contributing to a range of finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assisting with group cashflow reporting and broader financial accounting requirements

About You

You'll be a qualified CA (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting foundations and a proactive approach to problem solving.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

• 5+ years' accounting experience
• Trained in a recognised Chartered Accounting, audit or advisory practice such as a Big 4, mid-tier or leading regional firm
• Strong IFRS and financial reporting knowledge
• Experience working with large or complex organisations
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• A track record of driving process improvements and adding value beyond compliance
• The ability to balance technical excellence with commercial thinking

Experience within a technology, services or high-growth environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
