Finance Analyst

Whittaker's Chocolate | Porirua Robert Walters is proud to be partnering with Whittaker's, New Zealand's largest chocolate manufacturer and one of the country's most loved family-owned businesses, in the search for a Finance Analyst – Manufacturing. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a high-performing FP&A team and play a key role in supporting manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain operations.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst – Manufacturing, you will be responsible for product costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing reporting, and business partnering across operations. You'll provide the financial insights and analysis that help support operational performance and informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading quarterly standard cost roll processes and product cost maintenance.
• Analysing purchase price and manufacturing cost variances.
• Managing inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and provisions.
• Supporting month-end reporting, journals, and reconciliations.
• Preparing plant, production, and inventory performance reporting.
• Maintaining product master data and cost structures within Dynamics 365.
• Partnering with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain stakeholders.

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Experience in management accounting, costing, financial analysis, or manufacturing finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• ERP system experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• The ability to build effective relationships across both finance and operational teams.
