Financial Modeler

This is a highly visible position suited to a commercially astute and strategically minded finance leader who can quickly establish credibility, navigate complexity, and deliver high-quality financial insights that inform decision-making.

You will lead the development of financial models, scenario analysis, and investment advice to support major organisational initiatives, while also providing senior leadership cover and supporting the delivery of core finance outputs.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Finance & Advisory

• Develop robust financial models and scenario analysis to support organisational transformation and strategic planning.
• Provide high-quality financial advice on options, risks, assumptions, and trade-offs.
• Support investment planning and business case development.
• Contribute to the preparation of key organisational planning and transformation deliverables.
• Partner with senior executives to provide financial insight that informs decision-making.
• Support strategic finance initiatives and broader investment-focused programmes.

Finance Leadership & Executive Support

• Provide acting leadership coverage for senior finance executives during planned absences.
• Support continuity of finance governance, reporting, assurance, and decision support processes.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to finance team members as required.
• Ensure delivery of core finance outputs, including forecasting, planning, reporting, and performance-related commitments.
• Act as a trusted adviser to executive stakeholders across the organisation.

About You

You will be a seasoned finance professional with experience operating at a senior leadership level within complex organisations.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience in strategic finance, financial planning, and commercial or public sector advisory roles.
• Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis capability.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear, evidence-based advice to senior executives and governance groups.
• Experience supporting transformation, organisational change, investment decisions, or significant strategic initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build credibility quickly.
• Experience leading finance teams and providing executive-level leadership cover.
• A relevant tertiary qualification and professional accounting membership (CA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
