Cost/Manufacturing Accountant

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a global project, reporting directly to the CFO and collaborating with teams across three manufacturing locations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in SAP operations and manufacturing, with a detailed understanding of standard cost methodology. Your ability to communicate effectively, simplify complex concepts, and focus on delivering solutions will be key to your success in this role.

What you'll do:

As a Cost Accountant, you will play an integral role in our client's global project. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will collaborate with teams across three manufacturing locations, working towards standardisation. Your deep understanding of standard cost methodology will be crucial in your daily tasks. You will also be responsible for optimising labour, production, and overhead variances. Your ability to communicate effectively and simplify complex concepts will ensure that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Cost Accountant position brings 4-5 years of SAP operations/manufacturing experience. You have a detailed understanding of standard cost methodology and a clear grasp of what drives labour, production, and overhead variances - as well as how to optimise them. Your strong communication skills enable you to simplify complex concepts for various stakeholders. With a delivery/solutions-focused approach, you are always ready to tackle challenges head-on. Proficiency in SAP and Excel is also required.

• 4-5 years of SAP operations/manufacturing experience
• Detailed understanding of standard cost methodology
• Clear understanding of what drives labour, production, and overhead variances and how to optimise them
• Strong communication skills with the ability to make complex things simple
