Product Analyst
This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of digital foundation building blocks by collaborating closely with Product Managers, Domain Architects, and Solution Designers. You will be part of a supportive and knowledgeable Service Design & Analysis Team, where your expertise will directly impact the success of key projects. What you'll do:
As a Product Analyst based in Wellington - Petone office, you will play an integral role in shaping the digital landscape by supporting the ideation phase of the product lifecycle. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to capture detailed requirements for new products or enhancements. You will lead workshops designed to foster agreement among stakeholders while ensuring that all documentation meets established standards. By analysing product data each month, you will help identify trends that inform decision-making around incident response, change management, and system health. Your ability to synthesise information from various sources—vendors, internal teams, business users—and translate it into actionable insights will be crucial. Additionally, you will contribute to process mapping efforts, develop knowledge resources for ongoing support functions, conduct thorough options analyses for business recommendations, validate complex requirements through rigorous document review processes, and negotiate solutions that balance business needs with compliance obligations. Success in this role means consistently delivering high-quality outputs within agreed time frames while maintaining positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Required:

What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience in product or platform definition as well as process mapping within complex environments.
- Proven track record applying ITIL service management principles during service transition phases or similar contexts.
- Advanced skills in creating presentations that clearly communicate findings or recommendations to varied audiences.
- Expertise conducting options analyses that result in actionable business recommendations supported by robust data analysis.
- Strong background validating both functional and technical business requirements using document analysis techniques.
- Experience identifying risks associated with proposed changes or new initiatives through comprehensive assessment methods.
- Ability to design and facilitate information-gathering workshops involving multiple stakeholder groups with differing priorities.
- Well-developed negotiation skills enabling you to achieve consensus between ICT approvers/security assessors while maintaining compliance standards.
- Comfortable working both independently when required as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on shared goals.
- Understanding of Agile project management methodologies coupled with resilience when adapting to changing priorities or environments.
