What you'll do:
- Carry out comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) testing including integration, regression, and user acceptance testing as required across multiple platforms.
- Recommend and facilitate process improvements or new tool adoption to enhance quality assurance practices and accelerate delivery timelines.
- Analyse requirements, plan test strategies, create detailed manual and exploratory test cases, and execute them with precision.
- Collaborate closely with developers to design effective testing checks using existing tools, ensuring robust coverage of all technical requirements.
- Communicate defects clearly and promptly to both business stakeholders and technical teams, fostering transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute actively to maintaining a strong focus on user experience by identifying potential issues early and suggesting enhancements.
- Demonstrate keen awareness of data governance standards and ensure rigorous attention to data quality throughout all testing activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sharing insights with the wider team to support collective progress towards project milestones.
- Document test results comprehensively, ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, and delivered functionality.
- Support ongoing knowledge sharing within the team by contributing lessons learned and best practices from each testing cycle.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in software testing roles with at least 2 years focused specifically on Data Testing such as Data Warehouse or Data Migration projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes gained through hands-on involvement in various stages of project delivery.
- Proven track record in conducting Integration Testing including API integration scenarios across diverse systems.
- Experience participating in Testing Business Process Management (BPM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations within large organisations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Regression Testing methodologies applied within Agile development frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills combined with problem-solving abilities that enable you to identify root causes quickly and recommend practical solutions.
- Hands-on experience using Jira for managing test cases, tracking coverage metrics, reporting results, and verifying data completeness.
- Commitment to continuous improvement by seeking innovative ways to enhance testing processes or adopt new technologies as appropriate.
Desirable experience:
- Previous exposure to banking or financial industry environments which provides valuable context for regulatory compliance needs.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium IDE (preferably Python), CI/CD pipelines integration for automated deployments.
- Experience or exposure to PEGA modules for workflow automation or decisioning logic validation against business rules.
- Background in testing cloud-based platforms or programming experience that supports advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
