Senior Solicitor - Family
A highly respected Auckland law firm is looking for a Senior Solicitor to join their Family and Relationship Property team, in their North Shore office.

You will work closely with a knowledgeable Partner, ensuring you have access to mentorship and guidance as you handle complex family law matters. What you'll do:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation in all aspects of family law and relationship property matters
- Manage a diverse caseload involving complex litigation, including appearances in court and mediation settings
- Draft legal documents such as affidavits, applications, agreements, and correspondence tailored to each client’s circumstances
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedural requirements within family law
- Build strong relationships with clients through communication, understanding their needs, and guiding them through challenging situations
- Engage in business development activities by nurturing existing client relationships and supporting the firm’s reputation within the local community
What you bring:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission to the High Court within New Zealand, and a current practising certificate (or the ability to obtain one)
- Minimum 3+ PQE obtained within a private practice firm, focusing on family law, relationship property matters, or litigation
- Demonstrated litigation experience handling contested hearings or mediations related to family or relationship property disputes
- Up-to-date knowledge of New Zealand family law legislation, regulations, and recent case developments
- Experience mentoring junior staff or contributing positively to team culture would be advantageous but not mandatory
- A commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training opportunities or industry seminars
