Solicitor - Construction
A leading law firm in Auckland is seeking a Solicitor with experience in construction, property, infrastructure, or general litigation to join their highly respected construction disputes team.

What you'll do:
- Assist senior lawyers with complex construction litigation files, ensuring all tasks are completed with attention to detail and within required time frames
- Conduct legal research and draft clear, persuasive submissions for High Court proceedings related to construction disputes
- Engage directly with clients from the outset and build trusted relationships
- Support the preparation of evidence and case materials for hearings, arbitration's under the Construction Contracts Act, and other dispute resolution forums
- Collaborate closely with all members of the construction disputes team to share knowledge, resources, and best practices in a supportive environment
- Contribute to the drafting of advisory opinions on construction law issues as well as transactional documents when required
What you bring:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission to the High Court within New Zealand, and a current practising certificate (or the ability to obtain one)
- Minimum 2+ PQE obtained within a private practice firm with experience in litigation or dispute resolution roles
- Demonstrated interest or experience in construction law or related fields such as property or infrastructure litigation
- Proven ability to support senior lawyers on complex files by taking initiative while remaining considerate of team needs
- Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity in all communications
- Attention to detail when preparing legal documents or reviewing evidence for court proceedings
