Principal Policy Advisor

Principal Policy Advisor We are seeking a Principal Policy Advisor to lead complex policy initiatives, deliver high-quality advice to Ministers, and play a key role in developing a new regulatory regime targeted at bettering New Zealand's infrastructure. About the Role: As a Principal Policy Advisor, you will:

• Lead and oversee key programmes of work within the policy team.
• Provide strategic policy analysis and advice to senior leaders and Ministers.
• Develop regulatory interventions and instruments that form the foundation of a new regulatory regime.
• Coach and mentor junior team members to build their skills in policy analysis, strategic thinking, and good regulatory practices.
  
  

About You: To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Significant experience providing policy analysis and advice.
• A strong background working in a regulatory environment within central or local government.
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering regulatory frameworks within complex environments.

Salary Range: $122,483 – $156,506
