Airport - Procurement Specialist

This requirement is pivotal in supporting the company's infrastructure development projects through effective contract planning, tendering, formation and conforming. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement support in a collaborative manner, contributing significantly to the company's strategic goals. Open to perm and contract.
What you'll do:
As a Procurement Specialist, your role will be integral in ensuring the smooth operation of infrastructure development projects. You will be involved in every step of the procurement process, from strategy planning to contract formation.
Your excellent organisational skills will ensure that all projects have an agreed procurement plan detailing the division of projects into supply contracts. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that contracts are formed accurately and reflect the outcomes of the bidding and negotiation phases. Your commitment to compliance will ensure that all procurement activities follow company policies and procedures.
- Ensure visibility of key supplier health, capacity, performance, and broader supply chain trends
- Develop cohesive procurement strategies that deliver optimal value to projects
- Prepare high-standard tender documents that clearly articulate scope, schedule, risk allocation and other requirements
- Lead tender evaluations effectively and provide recommendations aligning with project and broader strategic requirements
- Form contracts accurately reflecting the outcome of the bidding and negotiation phases
- Ensure procurement activity follows company policies and procedures meeting high standards of probity.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Procurement Specialist role brings a wealth of experience in senior commercial roles with a focus on procurement.
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field
- 5-10 years’ experience in senior commercial roles focusing on procurement
- Experience with contractual settings including IPENZ, NEC 3/4 and NZS 3910 forms of contract
- Proven ability to work with professional, technical and trades staff and contractors
- Strong attention to detail and probity related processes
- Track record of successful commercial and contractual negotiation.
