An opportunity for an Account Manager has become available for a financially curious, savvy and commercially oriented individual to join the Information Services division. This division is one of the three pillars of NZX’s operation of capital markets. Information Services commercialises the data generated across NZX’s markets, licensing it to banks, brokers, vendors and other market participants globally, while also managing the connectivity and infrastructure that gets this data and trading access to clients.

Reporting into the Head of Information Services, you will play an important part in growing the revenue from existing and new accounts with a strong focus on the international markets. On a day-to-day basis you will be assessing opportunities, pipelining, building relationships and executing sales strategies. If you pride yourself on strong engagement and enjoy working in an environment that is collaborative with autonomy then this one is not to be missed!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts with a relationship-focused approach to ensure growth in total portfolio value
  • Providing high levels of customer satisfaction and experience
  • Developing new business opportunities that ensure clients can achieve their goals while meeting new business targets.
  • Managing a sales pipeline using Salesforce.
  • Identifying and supporting opportunities for the product and market development team

You will bring:

  • A commercial lens and the innate desire to pursue opportunities through to completion
  • The ability to build and maintain productive relationships, both internally and externally
  • The ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Resilience and tenacity to manage sometimes complex and difficult clients
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales, client facing, account management or business development background
  • Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or any other related field (preferred)
  • A keen interest in and curiosity about financial markets, with a genuine appetite to learn
