Bookings Coordinator

Be the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders such as Surgeon’s Secretaries, Ward and Theatre staff both in person and by phone as you work through the daily bookings to coordinate the beds equipment and lists. You are crucial to ensuring a smooth booking coordination process. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, responsibility and respect, this role offers the chance to have a direct impact on patient experiences and outcomes.

in this temporary role you will work for a leading healthcare provider as a Bookings Coordinator. You'll immerse yourself in a dynamic environment, connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds daily with your primary responsibilities to include managing bookings, coordinating operating room schedules and serving as a vital link between medical professionals and patients.

You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, including administration staff and hospital leadership and may sometimes need to make outbound calls to patients to follow up missing information. Success in this role will come from your ability to anticipate needs, keep calm, communicate effectively, maintain meticulous records, adapt to changing priorities and uphold high standards of confidentiality.

What You Bring

To excel in this temporary role as Bookings Coordinator, you’ll bring proven experience in coordination roles, ideally from a medical background but a strong coordinator or medical secretarial background could also work.

Key skills include:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for efficient documentation management.
  • Excellent organisational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
