Management Accountant

We’re recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-known retail business based in South Auckland. This role is suited to someone with a Big 4 or CA accounting firm background who enjoys a mix of financial reporting, tax compliance, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage GST, PAYE, income tax, and other statutory obligations
• Complete tax journals, reconciliations, and tax provisioning
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Assist with monthly management reporting and statutory financial statements
• Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
• Maintain strong financial controls and support process improvements
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure ongoing compliance
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support stock takes when required

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
• Background in a Big 4 or CA firm
• Experience in Business Advisory, external reporting, or tax-focused accounting
• 2–3+ year's experience in tax accounting or financial accounting
• Strong understanding of NZ and/or Australian tax compliance
• Advanced Excel and strong systems/ERP experience
• Mandarin speaking advantageous
