Senior Automation Tester

We’re looking for a Senior Automation Tester to join a forward-thinking team in Auckland. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of digital products used by thousands. What You’ll Do:

  Lead the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks across front-end and back-end systems.

  Partner with developers, BAs, and product owners to ensure full coverage through automated and manual testing, including API testing and exploratory testing.

  
  


• 
  

  Improve testing processes within an agile team, contributing to sprint ceremonies and helping drive product quality.

  
  


• 
  

  Share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

  
  


• 
  

  Uncover risks early by thinking beyond documented requirements and ensuring exceptional user experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Champion the use of modern CI/CD tooling, cloud infrastructure, and version control systems like GIT.

  
  

What You’ll Bring:

• 
  

  5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks in complex environments.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in Java & Cucumber for back-end testing and JavaScript/TypeScript with Cypress for front-end. (Playwright exposure a bonus!)

  
  


• 
  

  Experience reading code for white box testing, plus solid debugging and problem-solving skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven ability with Postman and other tools for manual API and functional testing.

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and a passion for improving processes and testing methodologies.
