By mentoring engineers and facilitating training workshops, you will help build capability across the department. Your expertise will be called upon when engaging with senior leaders to shape strategic direction or when troubleshooting complex issues in live environments. Success in this role means not only delivering reliable technology solutions but also fostering an environment where innovation flourishes and every team member feels supported.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in a DevOps-focused role with demonstrable leadership skills in process implementation within large-scale environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform as well as cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Ability to develop detailed documentation for processes while ensuring governance structures meet industry best practice standards.
  • Experience mentoring or training technical staff; ability to foster knowledge-sharing within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with development teams, quality analysts, change managers, incident responders, security specialists and operations personnel.
  • Demonstrated capability in building automation systems for CI/CD pipelines including aligning tooling across departments for maximum efficiency.
  • Familiarity with observability concepts including monitoring/logging toolsets; able to implement metrics that track team health or system performance.
  • Adept at managing vendor relationships for technology products/services; able to evaluate new tools or approaches that could benefit organisational outcomes.
