Shay Peters, CEO of Robert Walters Australia and New Zealand, was recently hosted by New Zealand Rugby to attend the opening game of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, with the All Blacks taking on the French on thier home turf. Here's what he had to say about his experience:
"It's astonishing how a small nation can wield such monumental influence in the world of rugby. Being in the room to witness the opening game of the 2023 rugby world cup highlighted the true pulling power of the All Blacks brand. The presence of global icons like George Russell, Kylian Mbappé, and Jason Momoa, stands as a testament to its status among the world's sporting powerhouses, firmly cemented and awe-inspiring.
New Zealand's enduring passion for the sport has always held the world captive, and this game underscored the extraordinary impact of that passion. In the company of industry leaders and global icons, including esteemed partners and sponsors like Adidas, Altrad, Matsui, Ineos, Tudor, and of course, Robert Walters, we joined forces to celebrate two rugby titans battling it out for the first win of the tournament.
This event solidified my belief in the universal appeal of the All Blacks brand, uniting people from all corners of the globe. Fostering a sense of community and shared passion that few sports can replicate, it reflects the values of integrity, excellence, and unwavering dedication that rugby cherishes.
I am incredibly proud of our association with the All Blacks and New Zealand Rugby. This experience has deepened our commitment to partnerships that not only reflect the prestige of our brand but also embody the values we hold close to our hearts"
