Employment Lawyer

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor to join a highly regarded employment law team. This is your chance to work alongside employment law specialists in a collaborative and supportive environment, led by a Partner who values teamwork, professional growth, and delivering outstanding results for clients.

This role offers a diverse workload across the full breadth of employment law matters, including both contentious and non-contentious issues. You will advise on key areas including personal grievances, workplace disputes and disciplinary investigations. Additionally, you will represent clients in cases before the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court.

As part of this high-performing team, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with clients and manage your own files. This role offers exposure to complex, high-level employment matters, enabling you to make a meaningful impact for clients while developing your skills under the guidance of experienced employment law specialists.

This role is full-time but flexible work options will be considered, including part-time.

What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu

• 3-6 years’ post-admission experience
• Ideally you will bring employment law experience but someone with a litigation background and a desire to specialise in employment
• Motivated to learn and develop within the firm
• Strong writing and drafting skills
• Thrive on problem-solving and have a friendly professional style
• A current New Zealand practicing certificate or eligibility to obtain one
