What you'll do:
- Provide expert legal advice on a wide variety of commercial transactions including business sales, acquisitions, and structuring tailored solutions for clients’ needs.
- Manage complex property investment and development projects from inception through completion, ensuring all legal requirements are met efficiently.
- Oversee commercial leasing matters by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease agreements for both landlords and tenants across multiple sectors.
- Handle residential and commercial conveyancing processes with meticulous attention to detail, guiding clients through every stage of their property journey.
- Support junior staff members through mentoring or informal guidance as required, fostering a nurturing environment for professional growth.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 5 years’ PQE in commercial law or property law within New Zealand or a comparable jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling business sales, acquisitions, property investment projects, development matters, leasing transactions, and conveyancing processes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that enable you to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients from diverse backgrounds.
- A proactive approach combined with forward-thinking problem-solving abilities that allow you to anticipate client needs and deliver effective outcomes.
