Save job

A leading Insurance provider is looking for a strong content/communications professional to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact by enhancing brand reputation, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering high-quality internal and external communications. You will be at the heart of a collaborative team that values inclusivity, technical expertise, and customer focus.

What you'll do:

As a Communications Partner based in Auckland, you will immerse yourself in a varied role where every day brings new opportunities to connect people through compelling content.

Your primary focus will be on supporting the execution of an integrated communications strategy that aligns with organisational goals. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to deliver engaging campaigns—ranging from digital newsletters to large-scale events—that reinforce the brand’s reputation.

By overseeing web-based content management systems, you will ensure accuracy and consistency in all messaging. Your ability to interpret complex information into accessible narratives will help build trust with customers and employees alike.

In addition to creating high-impact content for multiple platforms, you will also provide valuable support for market intelligence activities, compliance processes, and administrative tasks.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication and marketing programmes designed to enhance the organisation’s image and reputation both internally and externally.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of awards, gifts, events, and campaigns for intermediaries to ensure meaningful engagement with key audiences.
  • Support market intelligence efforts by responding to external data requests and providing insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to legal sign-off processes as well as compliance requirements including brand guidelines.
  • Direct regular communication through electronic direct mail (EDMs), newsletters, and other channels to strengthen customer relationships and foster loyalty.
  • Support positive employee engagement by crafting high-quality, targeted communications that resonate with staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Manage broadcast communication channels such as intranet content to maintain clear, consistent messaging throughout the business.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and tailor communications accordingly.
  • Design, plan, implement, and measure the effectiveness of communication strategies using analytics tools while providing support for media relations and showcasing organisational successes.

What you bring:

To excel as a Communications Partner in this organisation you will bring not only formal qualifications but also hands-on experience navigating the complexities of modern marketing communications. Your background should include developing multi-channel strategies that drive measurable results while upholding compliance standards.

You are comfortable working alongside subject matter experts—translating intricate details into accessible stories—and possess an eye for detail when it comes to editing or reviewing materials before publication.

Importantly, your interpersonal skills enable you to build rapport across teams—ensuring everyone is aligned around shared objectives—and your awareness of evolving industry regulations ensures all outputs remain compliant.

  • Tertiary degree in Communications or a related field demonstrating foundational knowledge of best practices in marketing or corporate communications.
  • Proven experience developing content strategies that align with broader business objectives across multiple channels including digital platforms.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated capability translating complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content suitable for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to produce accurate and compelling materials that reflect industry standards.
  • Basic proficiency in graphic design or multimedia production tools such as Adobe Creative Suite; experience with video production is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal communication skills enabling effective liaison between technical teams, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Ability to tailor messaging appropriately for different audiences including crisis communications or regulatory contexts when required.
  • Project management skills necessary for overseeing end-to-end delivery of content initiatives from ideation through execution within agreed timelines.
